Dried garlic flakes are small garlic pieces that are dehydrated. These flakes are larger in comparison to garlic granules. The dishes in which these flakes are added are mostly liquid based, as it gives garlic to soften and release its flavor when cooked.
It is not recommended to add organic garlic flakes in recipes that don't undergo cooking, such as salads. In the making process, garlic cloves are sliced into pieces, after removing their skin. The sliced garlic is passed to drying ovens. The dried garlic flakes are then packaged.
